Who is Hoku Seed Company?

Hoku is made up of Floyd; his wife, Allyson; and her mother and father, Becky and Gary. Occasionally, we will pull in help from a friend or neighbor during busy times, but the day to day operations as well as breeding projects are overseen by Floyd with Allyson handling all packaging and shipping. Our parent company is Clearwater Family Farms and we are located on the westside of Washington state near Mt. Rainier. We pride ourselves in creating new and innovative genetics focused on mixed ratios of novel cannabinoids.

Do you GUARANTEE your seeds and flower?

If you are unsatisfied with your seeds or flower or if they were damaged during shipping, please contact us to discuss your options. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction. Where does your hemp come from?

All of our hemp flower is grown by us here on our farm in Washington State. We do no resell hemp and keep everything we do in house, unless otherwise noted. Occasionally, we may purchase hemp extracts, such as CBN in order to formulate a product, but this is rare and only in the case that we cannot process it ourselves. When we do outsource a product like CBN, we work with the same 2-3 companies that have been in the industry since the beginning and abide by the highest quality standards we have come across; including 3rd party testing for heavy metals, pesticides, and solvents. We will never offer anything we wouldn’t consume ourselves and you can rest assured that we treat everything we do as though someone is taking it as medicine.

Is hoku hemp Flower organic?

Yes, here on our farm, all our flowers are grown within mixed light greenhouses using organic living soil and well water. Occasionally we will feed Compost teas, but the majority of our plants are fed plain water that is tested every year for contaminants and heavy metals. We use only certified organic pesticides and fungicides listed for hemp and only when needed. Horticultural Soap and Sulfur provide most of the protection we need from pests and pathogens.

Why are your seeds and products so affordable?

The main reason we can keep our prices low is that we run a very lean operation. We don’t have a bunch of employees, we operate our farm on our personal property, and we do everything ourselves. By keeping our operational costs low, we are able to pass the savings onto our customers.

As a seed company, all of our focus and effort goes into creating new and unique cultivars. In the process, we produce a lot of flower and bi-product from our pheno-hunts, test runs, and seed runs. Rather than sell it off as biomass, we offer our flower and formulate small batches of products in-house and make them available to all of you. It should be noted that our Flower is the result of our breeding efforts and thus is mixed phenotypes, often mixed chemotype, and may include seeds. Nevertheless, it is grown with intention and an appreciation for organic practices and will always priced accordingly.
